NECRONOMIDOL girls, please keep that creepy sound of yours. Your voices are wonderfully ghostly and full of deathly pain. You are what this morbid art needs! Hails from Mexico.
What is incredible with this track is it's not only respecting the black metal sound, but also the spirit. True black metal was first not satanism but was all about the spirit of its makers culture (norway's pre-christian culture and norway's nature). Here it's the same, they took something traditionnel, a traditionnal japanese song, to turn it into black metal. Also the way they sing, some people would say it's not black metal because they don't shout, but if you listen some old norvegian black metal you wilI find this type of experimental sound, just listen to the last track of De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas... I don't think they 100% made it intentionnaly, when I spoke to Sari she clearly presented herself as an idol, even if I can say she definately has an artistic sense. Maybe the producer of this track also is a BM fan. But that is : this track has just more black metal essence than a lot of black metal bands who just shout some lucifer lyrics on speed guitar and drums.
That's not how black metal started, you nothing about it's history. Black metal was always about satanism. Listen to first wave bands. Plus Euronymous himself said that black metal was black metal because it was inherently satanic.
I know I am late to this commebt section but THANK YOU! All people know is the sad and edgy side of BLM. It was absolutely brilliant until a certain someone thought it's ok to muder his fellow band member and burn churches ...
@@MrKoiking1 late answer but well... I won't speak about 1st wave because this sound definately more like second. Fenris, Varg and almost every guus from.the norway scene quoted that their music was not about satanism. They sometimes took satanism symbols for its anti-christian feeling but they were not satanists themselves. After them the genre went to satanism but it's an evolution.
This is great. A complete destruction of black metal beliefs while being more black metal than most black metal! Do I dare to call this post-modern Japanese black metal? haha. Way better than most "real" black metal bands (yes, I am looking at you scandinavia)
Haven't heard anything this impressive a long time. Great song! The feeling you get for your songs is out from this world. Really loved Azathoth song too and I can't wait to hear more from you. Great job and all the best for you!

Labels aside, this is one unique and hauntingly beautiful piece. The groups Babymetal has spawned have all been unique in their own ways (PassCode rules), but this group... wow.
At the same as Marlon, Greetings from Mexico! I really enjoyed the approach of the song with the folk and black metal vibes. Hope to hear more from you and loved your logo.
I wonder if anyone involved in the early days expected Necronomidol would be around all these years later. Of the lineup seen here only Sari and Kakizaki Risaki are still working in music.
That game is why I bought the PS2! I couldn't think straight until I was finally playing it, then I had to get the 1st one (stolen from me) and then the 3rd. Still my absolute favorite games.
Yeah! I finally found an idol type group I like. Babymetal is ok too, but this! I love traditional Japanese music and clothes, I want to be reincarnated to post-war Japan and live out my life there in a country house keeping an art form or use useful craft or farming or way of doing things alive. I checked out the album this is on and it isn't like this song, oh well, lol.
I don't know what to say, I just loved the song and I don't even know what it says. Really, you girls are amazing! Thank you so much for the song.. a fan from Brazil
Even Sauron (or Valdemort, depending on your generation) hears this song (and psychopomp) and thinks…. Man… that is some dark freaky shit. Beautiful and Dark. How the hell do the Japanese pull that off? Think I'll go listen to Babymetal "Song 4" several times to cleanse my soul.
Arguably this is my least favorite Necroma song to date. I see what they were aiming for, but to me it feels like a really awkward and unimaginative mash up of traditional Japanese singing and black metal. No disrespect to the people on here giving background and explaining things, that's appreciated on my part (and yes, the title track of "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas" features Attila using different vocal styles, which is why I think lots of people hate him--he actually mixes things up). But this particular song just doesn't come together very well, to me, from a writing standpoint. I still adore Necroma, just not this one song.
I know idol music is about the idols, but I feel like the music is totally ruined by the choice to mix the voices so loud. Could actually be KVLT as hell.
This is pretty darn bad but hey to each their own. If the vocals were mixed in a bit better with the music it could be better. Also the BM is very generic. It's just so hodgepodge.
Somewhere along the way someone said, "Babymetal doesn't have enough appeal in the depressive suicidal black metal circle."
THAT WAS ME, ill stop saying it now that i found this

Kawaii Ambient Black metal.
Now I have seen it all.
shotep1 it's not ambient if there's singing, maybe you meant atmospheric
It's too bad all of these girls have graduated. They were so good. The current line-up is also damn good, but very different.

Yaguara it's more like doom metal rather than black metal I think

Paulo Olive Junior Japan has some strange black metal bands my man. Gallhammer and Sigh are prime.
I'm intrigued by the concept, and Necronomidol is one of the best names for a musical group I've ever heard.

I love these lavish budget productions😂 I do love the concept behind Necronomidol.
Black & White is cool - I hope the best to NECRONOMIDOL
Even after almost four years the icy atmosphere of this song manages to calm and soothe me.
HELL F-ING YEAH!!! LET'S GO!!!
I wonder if anyone involved in the early days expected Necronomidol would be around all these years later.

Is this based on some traditional Japanese folk tune? I was watching Koi Kaze and one of the OST had the same tune as this song.
+Shawn Chia I was just watching Boogiepop Phantom and and I heard this tune in the OST, so most likely yeah
+Qwertaz899 +Shawn Chia Yes, its based off the Japanese folk song Toryanse - there are a few versions up on RUclips!
Reminds me of Fatal Frame 2 Crimson Butterfly

Is this Darkthrone?
Its 1 in the morning and this i giving me chills.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but this song sounds an awful lot like the song that plays at crosswalks in Japan
It is.
My God I love this 💕
Risaki and Sari young!!
Did I just hear them say kawaii at the end?
I think they said "kowaii" which means "scary" or "frightening".
I love how they incorporated the Fox God
